my art represents the promise of light in darkness. it represents the power of the human brain and soul to think, understand, and see through the maze. it shouts of simplicity, it whispers of complexity, it speaks of experiences and abilities. above all, my work represents you and me.

i received a degree in studio art and art history from the university of north carolina, asheville. i wrote and published a thesis about graffiti campaigns that took place in chile during the 1970's and questioned the placement of graffiti in the history of art.

after a dwell in chicago illinois, i returned to the south to explore a deeper humid quality of life. i recently completed a year long series of 30 new pieces for a solo show that exhibited in the month of september, 2009 in the pump gallery of asheville, nc.

i continue to produce art in my studio, study with masters of west african dance, stay informed about new art histories, and enjoy the moments of beauty that surround.
