this installation began with an invitation from a friend to show artwork. the theme of her evening event to invite change and to celebrate the beginning of a new year. i posit that change is evoked through movement and stillness. to represent this concept, i hand bound 40 scrolls of multiple sizes, dyed the pages, and covered them with fabric. i strung the scrolls together with yarn to make a unified piece.
